Defining Alt-Right Regimes and Evaluating the Tendencies & Characteristic of previous Regimes. 

Mudde describes the most characterizing aspects of far-right politics as nativistic, authoritative and populistic in his published work “The far-right threat to liberal democracy in Europe.” It’s common for far-right regimes to de-emphasize a separation of powers within the government. Oftentimes, authoritarian & dictatorial governments are the product of far-right policy enactment. In the case of Adolf Hitler, the foundation of his campaign centered around Germany’s humiliation in the First World War. Hitlers campaign strategy was the empowerment of the ordinary German man, it focused primarily on populist empowerment via Racial-Identity and the concept of the Aryan race as the supreme race. In addition, Hitlers campaigns focused on the shifting of blame from the German government unto the non-Aryan population of Germany regarding the terms agreed within the “Treaty of Versailles,” and the economic crash in Germany following the First World War. Following Hitlers appointment to Chancellor in 1933 and self-appointment of “Fuhrer'' in 1934, Hitler immediately established a totalitarian regime known as “The third Reich.” Hitler, then began enacting “nativistic” policies he believed to be beneficial to Hitlers Germany such as the development and usage of work & death camps for Jewish citizens, homosexual citizens, colored citizens, the mentally retarded and those in opposition of the regime. The concept of left-right politics is a spectrum. While Orbans regime has served most recently as a prime example of a far-right regime serving as a threat to European liberal democracy, many forget that Hitler’s Germany was dissolved less than 80 years ago. I’d argue the Nazi Regime has had the most devastating impact on Europe's liberal democracy and serves as the most fitting example of a far-right party threatening European liberal democracy.
